BNSF’s Matt Rose to Address Intermodal EXPO 2016

Industry Executives and Analysts to Cover Emerging Intermodal Trends

CALVERTON, MD, June 16, 2016 — Matthew K. Rose, executive chairman of BNSF Railway, will deliver a keynote address on Sept. 20 at this year’s Intermodal EXPO 2016. His remarks will bridge two full days of educational programming.

“We continue to raise the bar in our educational programming for the industry,” said Joni Casey, president and CEO of IANA. “And this year’s EXPO which coincides with IANA’s 25th Anniversary, affords us the opportunity for some unique activities.”

INTERMODAL FREIGHTCAST — Supply, Demand and Future Prospects

The annual FREIGHTCAST on Monday will review intermodal’s recent performance, prospects and trends. Specific issues that will be covered include energy prices, rail service gains, liner challenges and truckload competition. Moderator Mark Szakonyi, executive editor at will be joined by:

Merger Mania — Can 3PLs Survive?

Tuesday’s General Session will look at the state of 3PL industry consolidation and the impact on IMCs, brokers and 3PLs as well as other intermodal stakeholders. Thom Albrecht, CFA, managing director, senior equity research analyst, BB&T Capital Markets, will moderate the session, and speakers include:
