Overview of DVER Application and Enhancements — Roadside Enforcement Personnel

Wednesday, May 10, 2017 — 2:00 p.m. Eastern

IANA’s Driver Vehicle Examination Report Service (DVER) provides Intermodal Equipment Providers (IEPs) and Motor Carriers (MC) with paperless DVER access, retrieval and storage to assist with roadability compliance requirements. As a DVER subscriber, Motor Carriers and Intermodal Equipment Providers will receive a copy of any DVER associated with US DOT Number should your driver neglect to supply a copy to you. DVER delivery is available via e-mail, XML or via API.

Recent enhancements to the DVER application have expanded its functionality to State, Federal and local enforcement personnel as a compliance review support tool. Please join Information Services staff for an overview of the DVER application that will focus on the benefits of the program for enforcement personnel as well as walk through recent enhancements to the application, which include:

Driver Vehicle Examination Report Service (DVER)

  • System upgrade and portal for State and Federal Enforcement’s use for DVER maintenance, compliance audits and automatic MCMIS update as MCs and IEPs use the system to validate DVER repairs;
  • Connect and enable communication and information flow between IEPs, MCs and State and Federal Enforcement;
  • Enhance reporting and benchmarking of violation metrics for all parties; and
  • Removal of the intermodal filter to enable delivery of DVERs to all Motor Carriers, not just intermodal. (future item).
