O&M Business Meeting Update: Committee Meetings

Share

IANA’s annual spring Chicagoland event is almost here, and the preliminary agendas for the Operations and the Maintenance & Repair Committees are now posted. Featuring Task Force Reports, FMCSA updates, and educational presentations from FASTPORT and Port of Virginia representatives, both will meet on Thursday and are open to all.

The committee meetings round out the previous day's programming, including three general sessions and four roundtables. Pat Casey of TTX Company and Larry Gross of Gross Transportation Consulting, kick things off with the Year in Review and a discussion of What's Driving Intermodal, setting the stage for the day's facilitated roundtables:

  • Defining the Maintenance & Repair Agenda: Innovations for Intermodal M&R
  • Defining the Operations Agenda: Innovations for Intermodal Operations
  • How Can M&R Practices Maximize Terminal Throughput?
  • Intermodal Safety Priorities

A third chassis-focused general session moderated by Phil Connors of Philip V. Connors + Associates, digs into the industry's most challenging assets. What's working and what needs work? What can be done to improve utilization and drive ROI? Are just a few of the questions that will be addressed.

The Operations and Maintenance Business Meeting will take place May 1-3 in Lombard, Illinois. Full roundtable and general session descriptions, as well as speakers, can be found on the events page at www.intermodal.org.
