The Driver Vehicle Inspection Reporting Service assists Motor Carriers, Intermodal Equipment Providers, Facility Operators and Maintenance & Repair Vendors with regulatory compliance and identification of damaged equipment. The service creates and delivers the DVIR to the appropriate Intermodal Equipment Provider based upon receipt of gate and roadability compliance information. By communicating directly with IANA's UIIA, IDD and GIER programs, the DVIR service gathers the necessary information and electronically generates the DVIR via EDI, XML, API or via web portal.
IANA provides the industry with value added information services that facilitate business processes and efficiencies promoting intermodal growth and productivity.
Learn MoreMotor Carriers and Intermodal Equipment Providers must accurately note the proper location code when submitting a DVIR in order to ensure routing of the DVIR to the proper facility and maintenance & repair vendor. IANA maintains a listing that assigns a unique Location Code to each intermodal facility. These location codes are utilized within IANA's DVIR, BOES and SIA applications.
