IANA is pleased to present the Alumni Experience for the Future Leaders of Intermodal Program (FLIP). This program provides educational and networking opportunities for IANA members’ rising stars to continue to take their careers to the next level, grow their leadership, and serve our industry.

FLIP Alumni Objectives:

  • Fostering continued professional development to ensure the retention and elevation of quality talent within the industry.
  • Promoting dialogue and new perspectives that will sustain intermodal’s continued growth and innovation.
  • Breaking down silos to foster collaboration and understanding across all modes within the industry.
  • Furthering Alumni participation and leadership throughout the year in IANA events and educational offerings.
  • Creating mentorship and networking opportunities with the current FLIP cohort.

How You’ll Be Involved for the Year Following Program Completion:

  • Attend the IANA Business Meeting, May 4 – 6 in New Orleans, LA (50% off reg fee as Alum scholarship recipient). All travel costs are the responsibility of the individual/employer.
  • Attend IANA EXPO, September 14 – 16 in Long Beach, CA (50% off reg fee as Alum scholarship recipient). All travel costs are the responsibility of the individual/employer.
  • Serve on at least 1 IANA Committee
  • Attend Virtual Leadership Session: Date TBD Summer 2026
  • Hold monthly, virtual 30-minute meet ups with assigned thought partner/mentee from Cohort 2 (scheduling handled between you and your match)

Duties at Business Meeting:

  • Attend all programming
  • Make LinkedIn posts before, during, and after event detailing excitement and experiences
  • Participate in FLIP dinner on Monday evening

Duties at EXPO:

  • Attend all programming
  • Scan attendee badges for educational sessions
  • Serve as speakers for the Student Case Competition
  • Make LinkedIn posts before, during, and after event detailing excitement and experiences
