IANA’s Driver Vehicle Inspection Reporting Service (DVIR) links the Global Intermodal Equipment Registry (GIER), IANA’s Intermodal Driver Database (IDD) and Uniform Intermodal Interchange and Facilities Access Agreement (UIIA) database to provide efficient access to data needed for electronic DVIR reporting required under Section 396.11-12, Part 390 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety.
Benefits Of The DVIR Service
- Assists motor carriers, intermodal equipment providers, facility operators and maintenance & repair vendors with regulatory compliance and identification of damaged equipment.
- Creates and delivers the DVIR to the appropriate intermodal equipment provider based upon receipt of gate and roadability compliance information.
- Communicates with IANA's databases (IDD, GIER & UIIA) to electronically generate the DVIR via EDI, XML, API or web portal.
