IANA's Operations Committee is responsible for fostering better operational practices between intermodal transportation providers to ensure that customers receive the highest level of service. The Committee acts as a facilitator in resolving operational problems between and among intermodal providers, i.e., terminal operators, intermodal equipment providers and motor carriers. Specific focus areas involve terminal efficiencies, intermodal equipment interchange and driver productivity.

The IANA Operations Committee is creating an Artificial Intelligence Working Group to focus on fostering industry alignment, developing practical guidance, and creating a forum for meaningful dialogue about AI's role in the future of intermodal transportation. Artificial Intelligence is rapidly reshaping the transportation and logistics landscape, creating opportunities and questions for intermodal operations.

Whether you're an AI expert, technology leader, operations professional, or simply curious about what lies ahead, we invite you to join the conversation and contribute your perspective. Contact Tracy Turner with your interest. A virtual kick-off meeting will be scheduled for the end of June.
