Equipment Return Location Directory
The Equipment Return Location Directory (ERLD) is an online platform that allows UIIA Equipment Providers to publish and manage their satellite equipment return locations. Redesigned in 2025 based on extensive feedback from Equipment Providers, the updated ERLD offers a more flexible, intuitive, and efficient tool for maintaining accurate return location information.
The ERLD also serves as a centralized, web based resource for Motor Carriers, giving them easy access to each Equipment Provider’s return location details. Motor Carriers can receive notifications whenever an Equipment Provider updates or changes its return locations, as required under Sections E.1.b. and E.1.c. of the UIIA.
Current ERLD subscribers include Mediterranean Shipping, Hapag Lloyd, Wan Hai Lines, Maersk, and FlexiVan Leasing.

UIIA Equipment Providers

Equipment Providers can manage their satellite equipment return locations and instructions within IANA’s Equipment Return Location Directory (ERLD). This platform has been recently redesigned to provide more flexibility in managing equipment return information via the ERLD centralized web-based platform.
